Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
But all the King's horses and all the King's men, couldn't put Humpty together again… or could they?
It’s that time of the year again, and we are having a blast with our Easter Art and Drama Camps! Throughout the break, we have been cutting, sticking, painting, moulding, decorating, improvising, acting and playing games with our kids aged 4-10 years. And how much fun they are having!
In our Humpty Dumpty Workshop for our younger artists (aged 4 - 6.5 years), poor Humpty Dumpty had to be put back together again by our trusty team of egg-gineers. Led by Mr. Cannon, Mr. Ian and Miss Kass, our industrious little egg-heads learned how to cast and mould these adorable little Humpties using paper pulp 'Plaster of Paris'. Then, while waiting for the Humpties to set, they also learned how to use bricolage, fabric, card and other mixed media to create some gorgeous backgrounds for one of our favourite nursery characters. Finally, they added some paint, decorations and sparkly-warklies and…ta-dah! All fixed and as good as new - PHEW! (That was a close one). Now where did all the King's men and their horses go?

Our recuperated Humpties loved their funky new look so much, they begged us to show them off in our Blog Gallery below. Now they've all gone home happily (ever after) to live with their owners, we thought you might enjoy seeing the fun we got up to!
Here is one we made earlier... |
Here are two adorable little 'twin' Humpties - they look a bit worried they might fall again, but thanks to our wonderful Art teachers, we've made sure they are sturdy and fast on their wood-panel backgrounds. So these Humpties can sleep tight tonight!
This little Humpties could be twinsies :D How cute! |
Some of our egg artistes also proved to be budding fashionistas, and we saw some very fashionable customisations being added. What do you think of these blonde bombshell Humpties? We love their chic hats and purses. So very now, dah-ling!
Strike a pose! |

We really love the dynamic brush strokes used in this lucky Humpty's background panel. They make such a dramatic impact - we can just feel the wind blowing at Humpty's back. WHOOOOSH!

These Humpties by Tomoe and Linnea from our second camp group look pretty pleased with themselves, and we can guess why. Check out those snazzy buttons!
Meanwhile, Scarlett and Petra's Humpties are beaming with joy at being put back together again. Look at those lovely smiles!
We love how Anabelle's Humpty is sitting so pretty on the wall (what lovely pink buttons!) while Derek's Humpty is busting some pretty fine balancing skills on his. Impressive!

What do you think of the results? We think they're rather egg-cellent, don't you? Do you have any Humpty Stories you'd like to share with us? Don't forget to leave us a comment below!
Some Humpties wait to be collected after a fun-filled day at camp |
